Would you know what to do if someone suddenly collapsed, was choking, or became unresponsive?
This practical course teaches teens and adults the essential skills to recognize an emergency and respond with confidence while help is on the way. Led by an Emergency Medicine physician, the course covers hands-only CPR, choking response, basic first aid, and what to do when someone is found unresponsive.
We’ll also discuss how to recognize a possible opioid overdose, when and how to use naloxone (Narcan), and why taking pills or other substances that weren’t prescribed or obtained specifically for you can be dangerous—including the risk of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl or other unexpected substances.
The focus is simple: recognize an emergency, know what to do, and be prepared to help.
Ideal for high school students, college students, parents and other adults.
